Cross Park Church in Charlotte, NC
What is Cross Park Church?
Cross Park Church is a new church, what is often referred to as a church plant. All churches were planted at some time in their history, and we are simply a part of the long history of what God is doing in planting new churches. In our case, we are part of a church planting network in Charlotte, where several churches have worked together to plant new churches. We have been sent out by Uptown Church (located, appropriately, in Uptown Charlotte) to be a new church in South Charlotte.
Why Church Planting?
Quite simply, church planting is the most effective way to reach a city. God uses lots of different strategies, but regularly planting new churches in different geographic and demographic areas is a key way to reach more people with good news and give them opportunities to connect with each other and connect with mission. We are planting this church for these reasons, and hoping to be a part of future church planting efforts both in Charlotte and the world.
