  • Cross Park Church has 6 values:
Worship, Word, World, Charlotte, Community and Cultivation.
These values map onto the three components of our values.

    Worship and Word
    (Him)

    Community and Cultivation
    (We)

    World and Charlotte
    (Proclaim)

    Worship and Word

Worship:  Life is designed to be lived in close connection with God at all times.  Thus, all of life is an opportunity to worship. In a fallen world we have to live a life of worship by prayer and by faith.  God also gives us regular opportunities to gather together for public worship each week.

Word:  The Bible shapes what we do at Cross Park Church, thus it has a central role in our gatherings together.  Not only does the Bible teach us about ourselves and about God, it shows us clearly who Jesus is and how he has made a way to return to God.

    Community and Cultivation

Community:  God has made us relational beings, created to interact with one another to experience life in its fullness.  Close connection with each other will allow us to bear each other's burdens, to love one another well, and to experience how Jesus is reproducing his life in our midst.

Cultivation:  The church is a place where we can grow to be more like Jesus. Jesus has given us spiritual gifts to discover and use in the context of the church.  He also gives us opportunities to develop leaders for the universal church.

    World and Charlotte

World:  God loves the peoples of the world, and he has always had a plan for those from every tribe, tongue and nation to be part of his family. We want to love like God loves, to bless the world with the blessings we have been given, and to sacrifice our comfort in order to participate in what he is doing around the world.

Charlotte:  God has placed us in south Charlotte in order to be a blessing to our community. We will look for opportunities and partnerships for evangelism and mercy ministry here in Charlotte.
