Women of Hope Spring Seminar: "Letting Go of the Try Hard Life"
Cross Park's sister church, Hope Community Church, has invited the women of Cross Park to join them for their free Spring Women's Seminar on Saturday, May 4th from 9:45am-12:00pm at the Hope Woodlawn location (701 Scaleybark Rd). About Emily Freeman:
Emily, author of Grace for the Good Girl and Graceful, is a writer, speaker and listener. She is the creator of the blog, Chatting at the Sky, where she combines photos and story to create space for souls to breathe. She is deeply curious about the mystery of Christ, the gracefulness of everyday, and the sacredness of our inner lives. Everything that she writes and speaks about comes from this curiosity and the deep conviction that every need, desire, and expectation is met in the person of Jesus Christ.
Women's Bible Studies
Women's Bible
studies are great places to build relationships with
one another, support and encourage each other, and grow deeper in our walks
with Christ. This spring, our two morning studies (which include childcare) will be reading the book A Praying Life: Connecting with God in a Distracting World by Paul Miller. For those who have a full weekly schedule, you can still join our evening study that meets the 2nd Thursday of the month. This group is reading The Envy of Eve: Finding Contentment in a Covetous World by Melissa Kruger. For more details see below:
