DESCRIPTION:Though we are in the midst of some transition in the Youth Group\, we are planning to have a great summer! We’ve already enjoyed a great ice cream social at the Newcott’s and much more is in store. To keep things as simple as possible\, we are planning to have a youth event every Wednesday at Hemby\, from 7-8:30 from June 19 to August 14 (minus July 3). We will alternate weeks between a normal ‘Youth Group’ night and a hang-out / fun event night. But know that every Wednesday from 7 to 8:30\, you can gather with other Cross Park youth at Hemby\, starting June 19! We look forward to seeing you! DESCRIPTION:Dear Youth and Parents\, \nWith the interest form feedback in mind\, we are proceeding with the Youth Communicants Class on Sunday\, 4/30 after service in Magnolia. While this class is officially focused on what non-communing students need to know in order to become communing members\, we strongly encourage you to bring ANY and ALL youth with you to the class. Even if they are already communing members\, this class may help them understand better what it looks like to participate as a communing member. \nWhat to Expect\nWe will have lunch after church along with some extended teaching. We will talk about what it means to believe the gospel\, to participate in communion and in the life of the church as a communing member\, and how to continue to grow in your faith. With Covid\, many of our students missed teaching opportunities on these topics that we would have offered\, so we decided to offer this in a condensed way to all our youth. \nFurther Communicant Studies\nIf you are not able to participate for the 4/30 class\, we hope to provide another opportunity in the fall or winter. If your student and their friends plan to attend this event\, please note the following: \n\nDROP OFF LOCATION: The front door of South Park Mall in front of the Cheesecake Factory at 4:30PM\nPICK UP LOCATION: The Food Court of the South Park Mall at 6:30PM\n\nParents\, we know that this will overlap with dinner time for some of you\, so come enjoy fellowship with other youth families in the food court while the students play. We plan to play from 4:30-6PM\, and then eat dinner together from 6-6:30PM in the food court. \nSince the mall can be chaotic\, here are the phone numbers of three youth leaders if you need to contact any of us during our time together.
