DESCRIPTION:One of the main pieces of feedback from our men’s retreat was more opportunities for the men of Cross Park to be together. We’d like to take advantage of that interest and call us together for monthly prayer. Brothers\, please plan to attend our men’s prayer event the third Saturday of every month from 7-8am. Will meet at the house on Hemby’s campus for 30 minutes of devotional/discussion (following up on the content of the men’s retreat) and 30 minutes of prayer for one another\, the church and our work in the world. Attendance at the men’s retreat is not a prerequisite for coming to this prayer gathering. We’d like to see this happen monthly and for it to become an important part of our corporate life together.\n\nNote: This is not a breakfast\, so you will want to have eaten beforehand and to bring your own coffee. We enjoyed our time together this summer so much that we are going to extend our season by adding a short book for August\, George MacDonald’s The Princess and the Goblin.  This is an early classic of Christian fantasy literature\, and though it was written for young people\, the story is rich and deep enough to satisfy all readers young and old. The discussion will be held at the Shanks’ house on Thursday\, August 14\, at 7PM. The book club would like to specially invite all the young ladies of our youth group to join us in reading and discussing this one\, if they would like! DESCRIPTION:One of the main pieces of feedback from our men’s retreat was more opportunities for the men of Cross Park to be together. We’d like to take advantage of that interest and call us together for monthly prayer. Brothers\, please plan to attend our men’s prayer event the third Saturday of every month from 7-8am. \nThis month\, we will gather at the Shank home for 30 minutes of devotional/discussion (following up on the content of the men’s retreat) and 30 minutes of prayer for one another\, the church and our work in the world. \n\n\nNote: This is not a breakfast\, so you will want to have eaten beforehand and to bring your own coffee.
