Wendy Shank will host two evenings of discussion of the autobiography of John Paton\, a missionary to the South Seas islands in the mid 19th century. This gripping account of his life\, call\, and mission is a classic among missionary biographies\, and his love for Christ and the gospel will challenge any believing reader to risk anything to reach those who have not yet known or trusted our savior. The meetings will be held on the evenings of June 19 and July 17. If you are interested to join this reading groupon either or both dates\, please let Wendy know by emailing wkshank62@gmail.com. We are looking at best ways to acquire book copies as a group\, but you are welcome to go ahead and purchase your copy on your own (this edition).

DESCRIPTION:One of the main pieces of feedback from our men’s retreat was more opportunities for the men of Cross Park to be together. We’d like to take advantage of that interest and call us together for monthly prayer. Brothers\, please plan to attend our men’s prayer event the third Saturday of every month from 7-8am. \nThis month\, we will gather at the Shank home for 30 minutes of devotional/discussion (following up on the content of the men’s retreat) and 30 minutes of prayer for one another\, the church and our work in the world. \n\n\nNote: This is not a breakfast\, so you will want to have eaten beforehand and to bring your own coffee.
