DESCRIPTION:Though we are in the midst of some transition in the Youth Group\, we are planning to have a great summer! We’ve already enjoyed a great ice cream social at the Newcott’s and much more is in store. To keep things as simple as possible\, we are planning to have a youth event every Wednesday at Hemby\, from 7-8:30 from June 19 to August 14 (minus July 3). We will alternate weeks between a normal ‘Youth Group’ night and a hang-out / fun event night. But know that every Wednesday from 7 to 8:30\, you can gather with other Cross Park youth at Hemby\, starting June 19! We look forward to seeing you! SUMMARY:Men's Prayer
DESCRIPTION:One of the main pieces of feedback from our men’s retreat was more opportunities for the men of Cross Park to be together. We’d like to take advantage of that interest and call us together for monthly prayer. Brothers\, please plan to attend our men’s prayer event the third Saturday of every month from 7-8am. Will meet at the house on Hemby’s campus for 30 minutes of devotional/discussion (following up on the content of the men’s retreat) and 30 minutes of prayer for one another\, the church and our work in the world. Attendance at the men’s retreat is not a prerequisite for coming to this prayer gathering. We’d like to see this happen monthly and for it to become an important part of our corporate life together.\n\nNote: This is not a breakfast\, so you will want to have eaten beforehand and to bring your own coffee. DESCRIPTION:Adult Spring Sunday School\nThis Spring during Adult Sunday School we will study another of our denomination’s recent Study Committee Reports – the 2018 Racial Reconciliation Report. As with the Human Sexuality report we studied this past Fall\, the race report is available in book form\, with a number of other relevant PCA documents on the topic of race – The Pursuit of Gospel Unity. If you would like a copy of that book\, please let Grant know and he will get one ordered for you. While race can certainly be a controversial and weighty topic\, we are not studying it to be controversial\, but to allow ourselves to be shaped by the Scripture’s teaching on important topics in our communities.
